Novel-T's
Open to grades 3 through adult.
Did you know that the novel The Swiss Family Robinson was written by Wyss' entire family? In the evenings, the family sat in their living room, each taking charge of a specific reference book, and they all together decided upon the circustances and events in the book. That's why so much of the information in the novel is so factual. Later, in the late 1900's, Lost in Space was made as a sort of Swiss Family in Space. So what?
The Novel-T's will meet once a month to write an entire novel over the course of this school year. Each month different people will be in charge of different types of information, and we'll get the 9 chapters of this book written.
We will also have at least one meeting with an author, who will help us. Other experts will visit as the events of the novel require it.
Members are encouraged to bring a laptop; however, it is not required.
Cost is $5 each month. If you can't make some months, that's understood.
We will try to publish this novel when it is done.
Sponsor: Mrs. Hancock. Meeting places will vary a bit, but will probably center around COTRM. However, if all the members live in another area, we'll find something that direction.
Meeting time: evenings. Day of week to be decided by the members' schedules.
