Weapons Policy
Weapons Policy
NCCS does not tolerate the carrying of weapons by parents
or students onto school facilities or at school-sponsored
activities, events, or field trips or when the student is
wearing any symbol or insignia of NCCS in public.
One exception to this would be when the school activity is
located at regular weapons' practice ranges or takes place at
a specified function (such as camping, museum activities, dramatic work, and classwork) where such equipment is deemed necessary for
the event and when the student and parent involved have
received prior written permission from the school staff.
A second exception would be when students or teachers are
performing dissection for a class assignment on school
grounds or in the school facility. The students should be
closely monitored by an adult supervisor. All equipment
should be accounted for at the end of the session.

Further exceptions to this policy will include: police officers;
firemen; military personnel present for teaching
demonstrations or honor presentations; firearms experts
who have received prior approval from the school office and
who are present for teaching demonstrations; workmen
needing such items as tools for current work on the facility.
All others, including those individuals with a Concealed
Carry Permit and individual craftsmen coming from or going
to employment, must seek prior approval from the school
office or pastoral staff. Those persons receiving exception
or approval MUST maintain control over their weapons
whenever students are present.
